Choisir la ligne de production adaptée
Can a single production line produce multiple shapes or flavors?
Yes, many production lines can produce different product shapes by changing the mold or forming system, while flavors can be adjusted through the distribution settings and recipe. The number of possible shapes and the speed of changeovers depend on the type of production line and product, and some shapes may require additional equipment or molds.
Can Production Capacity Be Increased in the Future?
Future expansion can be planned from the initial design stage. However, the ability to increase production capacity depends on the equipment model and production line configuration. In some cases, capacity can be increased by adding another unit or upgrading a specific processing stage. In others, a key stage — such as the extruder, oven, or fryer — may determine the line’s maximum capacity. Therefore, the expected future expansion plan should be defined before finalizing the design.
Can the production line be customized for a specific product or factory?
Yes. Carefully engineered modifications can be made to the line’s design and layout, including conveyors, molds, heating and drying systems, flavoring systems, automation level, and integration points with packaging equipment. Any modification is subject to a specialized engineering study and is approved only after evaluating its impact on safety, energy consumption, product quality, and maintenance requirements.
Can we test our product and raw materials before purchasing or shipping?
Yes, product testing can be arranged upon agreement, subject to the availability of the required raw materials and molds. For accurate results, we recommend sending a sample of the raw materials and the target product, or providing its specifications. Practical testing is the best way to determine the appropriate formulation, shape, texture, and expected energy requirements before finalizing the project.
Do you help select the most suitable product for the market?
Our team can provide technical guidance on production line capabilities, available formats, and processing methods, as well as assist the client with product development and recipe trials. However, selecting the most suitable product for the market should also be based on local research covering pricing, competitors, distribution channels, packaging options, and consumer preferences.
Does the actual production capacity always match the line’s rated capacity?
Not necessarily. The stated rated capacity represents a design value or maximum output under specific product and operating conditions. Actual production capacity may vary depending on factors such as raw material type, moisture content, product density, shape and size, drying or frying time, downtime rates, and operator efficiency. Therefore, performance and capacity guarantees are tied to the product and operating conditions agreed upon in the contract.
How Do I Choose the Right Production Line for My Project?
Choosing the right production line starts with defining the specifications of the final product, not with the name of the machine. We first need to know the type of raw material, the desired product shape, and the required processing method — whether frying, roasting, or hot-air processing — as well as the target production capacity, operating hours, available factory space, energy sources, and packaging sizes. Based on this information, the most suitable model and equipment configuration can be recommended.
What information is required to prepare an accurate technical and commercial proposal?
To prepare an accurate and comprehensive technical and commercial proposal, please provide the following information: Country name. Type of product required. Product photos or samples. Raw material composition, if available. Required production capacity in kilograms per hour. Number of operating hours. Factory dimensions and height. Available energy sources: electricity, gas, or diesel. Required package weights. Required level of automation.
What is the difference between an automatic and a semi-automatic production line?
An automatic production line reduces manual intervention, integrates production stages, and helps control material flow efficiently. However, it requires a higher initial investment and better infrastructure and maintenance capabilities. A semi-automatic line may be more suitable for smaller projects or factories that rely more heavily on manual labor. The right choice depends on labor costs, production volume, demand stability, and the level of process control required.
What production capacities are available?
Production capacity varies depending on the product family and model. The portfolio includes lines for medium-scale projects starting at approximately 160–200 kg/hour, industrial lines with capacities of up to 500 kg/hour, and high-capacity corn chips lines reaching up to 700 kg/hour. The final production capacity should be confirmed based on the model page and technical quotation, as it may vary depending on the recipe, product shape, moisture content, and operating conditions.
Exigences relatives à l’usine et à l’ingénierie
Are the production lines equipped with control and automation systems?
Yes. The level of automation varies by model and project scope. Equipment may include control panels, operator interfaces, variable frequency drives, level, temperature and speed sensors, as well as protection and alarm systems. Components and brands are specified in the approved technical proposal.
Can the production line be designed to match our country’s electrical supply?
Yes. The electrical systems can be configured for the voltage and frequency available in the customer’s country, once these values have been officially confirmed. The factory’s transformers, cables, and protection systems must also be checked to ensure they can handle the total electrical load and any planned expansion.
Do you provide an engineering layout for installing the production line?
Yes. Once the project configuration is approved, we prepare a general layout showing the equipment arrangement and dimensions, product flow, and essential utility connection points. To adapt the layout to the installation site, we need an accurate factory drawing showing the locations of columns, doors, utilities, and the ceiling height. This helps prevent conflicts during installation.
Does the project study cover raw material, storage, and finished product areas?
The scope of the study can be expanded to cover raw material flow; preparation, production, packaging, and storage areas; as well as personnel movement and maintenance access. Detailed civil design and local authority requirements must be coordinated with a licensed engineering firm in the project’s country.
How can we prevent a production bottleneck at the packaging stage?
The combined actual capacity of the packaging machines should exceed the line’s average output, with a suitable margin for downtime, film roll changes, and cleaning. The required capacity depends on product density, pack weight, and the speed of each machine. The project may require multiple packaging machines or a multi-lane distribution system.
How much space is needed to set up a chips or snacks factory?
The space required depends on the product, production capacity, and storage and packaging needs. Tens or hundreds of square meters may be sufficient for some compact snack lines, while natural potato chips factories or high-capacity projects may need considerably more space. Factory planning should account for operation, maintenance, raw material storage, and finished goods storage—not just the space occupied by the machines.
What clear height is required for the factory?
The required height depends on the dimensions of the extruder, inclined conveyors, packaging weighers, platforms, and tanks. Before the layout is approved, please provide the clear height from the floor to the lowest point of the ceiling, along with the locations of any structural beams and pipes.
What materials are used for food-contact parts?
Parts that come into contact with the product are typically made of stainless steel suitable for food applications, often AISI 304, depending on the equipment design. Please refer to each machine’s technical specifications to confirm the approved materials, thicknesses, and surface finishes.
What power sources and utilities do the production lines require?
A production line may require industrial electricity, natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) or diesel, as well as compressed air, water, drainage, ventilation and fume extraction. Requirements and capacities vary by model and line configuration and are specified in the utilities schedule included with the technical offer.
